Modena Sans & Modena Serif — A Unified Typographic System by Lokal Container
Modena is a dual-style typeface system composed of Modena Sans and Modena Serif, commissioned through a close collaboration between the Modena design team and Lokal Container. The brief was clear: to create a typographic voice that merges classical and modern qualities, while embracing the precision of technology and the warmth of human touch. The result is a finely tuned system that feels elegant, approachable, and versatile—crafted for contemporary communication across branding, editorial, and digital platforms. At its heart, Modena is built with a clean calligraphic sensitivity, adding fluidity and rhythm to both Sans and Serif styles without compromising clarity.

Palapa Nusantara — A Modern Heritage Serif
Palapa Nusantara is a custom serif typeface created in response to a creative challenge posed by Jordan Marzuki, who invited the Lokal Container team to develop a font that embodies the essence of Indonesia’s modern history, reinterpreted for a contemporary context. This typeface was specifically designed for the branding and packaging of artisan liqueurs, crafted from forgotten Indonesian fruits and spices. The visual identity required a typeface that could hold the weight of cultural memory while still feeling fresh, dynamic, and internationally relevant.
