Lokal Container is a typography movement founded by passionate youth in Bandung, Indonesia. Driven by a commitment to strong values, deep understanding, and diverse perspectives, our mission is to bring typography closer to the local community and creative industries—including institutions, organizations, designers, artists, and studios—while also welcoming individuals from various other fields.

This initiative is not about redefining how typography is perceived or positioned. Instead, it is a dedication to strengthening its role within the local youth movement. Through our work, we aim to celebrate typography as a vibrant cultural and creative force, sharing our passion.

Beyond design, Lokal Container is committed to fostering a deeper typographic movement—through education, archiving, and documentation of Indonesia’s rich typographic journey. By preserving and exploring local typography, we strive to ensure its relevance for future generations while contributing to the ever-evolving global typographic landscape.

🎯   VISION AND MISION
Improving typography impressions in the local creative scene which help people understand the different segments of typography and of course lift the spirits of many. We support the creative ecosystem of the local scene, including musicians, artists, designers, institutions, and other fields. Focuses on open-source, collaborations, and archiving becoming a digital media publishing.
